Me, Kristen & Zion leave for Cali early Thursday morning! We thought it would be smart to leave in the wee hours of the morning so that Zion can sleep some of the way. We are going to San Luis Obispo and DL. I can't wait for the Thursday Night Farmers Market, the beach, and of course Disneyland and California Adventure. Me and Kris have the most beautiful dresses to wear to her sister Amanda's wedding in SLO. It is going to be Fantabulous!

Today is my 21st and 1/2 birthday! I don't understand why we don't celebrate 1/2 birthdays every year. This world needs more reasons to celebrate and I think the answer is 1/2 birthdays. I hope everyone has GREAT 1/2 birthdays this year! (and real birthdays too!)

I had my interview for the Surg Tech program a few weeks ago. It went great! I endend up knowing 2 of the 3 program advisors who were interviewing. They are both family friends. One lives near me in D.V. and the other knew me when I was young. I mean really young. He was there when my parents first brought me home from the hospital! It was like I was talking with a group of friends. They asked great questions about me, my life, my beliefs and why I want to be a Surg Tech. At the end of the interview they thanked me for coming in and then went on with a huge list of things I needed to do before class started. I asked "So am I in?" They said they could not officially say I was and that if I wanted to I could wait until I got my letter to complete all the requirements before class started.

Well last night I had a feeling so I went and got the mail and there it was. An envelope from the Healthy Science Faculty and Staff. "Congratulations! You are being offered a position in the Surgical Technician Program for the 2008-2009 school year at Dixie State College."

I will turn in my official acceptance on Monday.

I'M IN!!!! I'M SO EXCITED!

Quick School Update

I got a call on Monday to set-up an interview for the Surg Tech Program that I applied for WEEKS ago! It's about time! I get to go to the new Health Science Building over behind the hospital at 12 noon on Thursday. I've heard this new building is AMAZING!

So, a little backgroud . . . a while ago my mom bought some BBQ sauce. One day I pulled it out of the pantry and ate some with my roast. IT WAS THE BEST BBQ SAUCE I HAVE EVER TASTED! Today I turned in my application for the Surgical Technician Program at DSC. I am so excited! And nervous! I was told they would contact all applicants in 1-2 weeks to set-up personal interviews. I’ll keep ya posted. Wish me luck!

(Yes! That patients heart burst into flames during cardiac bypass surgery! I can't wait!)

Disneyland

The Disneyland Trip has been officially cancelled. I was planning on going to Disneyland with some friends August 3rd through the 9th and spend 5 whole days in the park. Due to circumstances out of my control we have had to cancel the trip! Bummer! Well, now I just have to figure out what plan B is going to be. I'm open to any ideas! :)

Opportunity to Forgive

The other day Chelsea had her "angel cards" and told me to pick one. I was amazing by the card I picked. It was totally what I needed to hear.

The card says: "Opportunity to Forgive" "This situation brings you the opportunity to heal, grow, and release negative patterns. Hold the intention of seeing the other person's inner Divine light and goodness. We will help you release unforgiving thoughts, feelings, and energies, and lift you to a higher place of peace and compassion." The Guidbook continues, "The angels send you this card because they see you have grown weary of a recurring negative pattern in your life. to break this cycle, it's important for you to release old toxic thoughts about the current situation and relationship. Forgiveness doesn't mean that you are condoning the other person's behavior. It just means that you're unwilling to carry toxic feelings and thoughts about her. Release, be free, and experience positive patterns through forgiveness."

WOW! I won't get into the particulars but I do know that I need to practice forgiveness and be more Christ like. Even though people may choose paths in life that you don't agree with doesn't mean that you still can't be there for them and LOVE them anyways. You know who you are and I'm sorry for being a bitch. I LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT! I hope everything is going good and I am here if you ever need anything.
